The sound of music at the staring gate
The blow of the whistle to determine your team's fate
The jump of your other half as it leaps for the occasion
The shout of maneuvers so there is no collision

The clank of your spur so you can go faster
The first or last place ribbon, it doesn't matter
The twitch of your horses ear to tell you he's listening
The smile on everyones face, their teeth glistening

The shout as you exit the arena, happiness and glee
The claim that no one had as much fun as we
The sticky saddle as you un-tack
The sadness at the thought of going back

The puffing breath of your best friend, your horse
The look in his eye 'cause he's tired of course
The joy from your team has never been as high
The love and the laughter and then say goodbye

The glory of one fantastic ride
